Terms & Conditions

  1. a) The Meghna Prepaid Card will be known as valid Meghna Prepaid Card issued to applicants to avail services related to drawing cash from ATMs and/or to purchase from merchants with electronic Point of Sale (POS) terminal displaying respective payment networks logo.
  2. b) The necessary Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the Prepaid Card will be provided by Meghna Bank or can be generated by IVR.
  3. c) Merchant Establishment' means the authorized establishment within which the authorized member of respective payment networks has entered into agreement for honoring the Meghna Prepaid Card upon proper presentation.
  4. d) The recipient of the Card will be known as the Cardholder and he/she will be the user of the Card.
  5. e) Card Account means the account which is maintained by Meghna Bank in the name of the Cardholder. Unless written complaints are made within thirty days of supposed errors and/or omissions, the entries made by Meghna Bank respect of the Card Account will be valid, genuine and final.
  6. a) Meghna Prepaid Card will undoubtedly be the property of Meghna Bank at all times. 
  7. b) The Card is not transferable by the user.
  8. c) Upon receipt of the Card, the recipient will put his/her signature on the designated space on the reverse side of the Card.
  9. d) If the information provided to Meghna Bank during the initial application for the Card is falsified, Meghna Bank unconditionally reserves the right to seize/cancel the Card.
  10. e) In the event that Meghna Bank instructs the Cardholder to furnish his/her up-to-date financial details, the Cardholder shall be obliged to do so unconditionally.
  11. f) When the validity of the Meghna Prepaid Card becomes null and void due to cancellation by Meghna Bank, the Cardholder shall be obliged to return the Card to the Cards Division of Meghna Bank within seven working days of the date of receiving notice of such cancellation.
  12. g) Meghna Bank reserves the right to renew the membership entirely at its own discretion and can refuse the same without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  13. h) Meghna Bank reserves the right to discontinue in providing the services that is associated with the logo of respective payment network logo.
  14. i) Any attempt to use the Card even after the notice of cancellation or withdrawal of facilities will be treated as fraudulent activity. Meghna Bank reserves the right to bring legal action(s) against any such individual user. 
  15. j) Unless renewed, this agreement and the Card that is issued under this agreement will expire on the expiry date that is mentioned on the front side of the Card. 
  16. a) If the Card is lost or stolen, the Cardholder on his/her own initiative should immediately inform Meghna Bank by calling 24X7 Call Center or in person. 
  17. b) Any such cost that might be incurred before communicating the loss through electronic or print media or through some other means, would be borne by the Cardholder.
  18. c) Issuance fee for duplicate Card may be changed by Meghna Bank. Duplicate Card may be issued only after Meghna Bank is fully satisfied with all the necessary formalities and security issues. 
  19. a) Subject to proper presentation of the Card to Merchant Establishments and proper functioning of technical parameters, the Card will be honored. 
  20. b) In the event that any Merchant Establishment falls to honor the Card, Meghna Bank will not be held liable in any manner whatsoever.
  21. c) Meghna Bank in no way will be responsible for any defective merchandise purchased or services availed by the Cardholder from any Merchant Establishment. It is solely the Cardholder's responsibility to resolve any dispute with the Merchant Establishments or realize claims, if any, from the Merchant Establishment Under no circumstances Meghna Bank will be involved in this process. However, it is the Cardholder's responsibility to pay all dues for using the Card.
  22. d) In the event of air ticket purchases, separate debit and credit transactions will take place. The Cardholder must pay the charges incurred during the purchasing of the air ticket even if the ticket is subsequently cancelled. After deducting the service charges and ticketing cancellation fee, charged by the ticketing agency, Meghna Bank may refund the rest amount.
  23. e) Any charge slip that has the signature of the Cardholder will be the final proof of the charges recorded therein as incurred by none other than the Cardholder himself/herself.
  24. f) Meghna Bank will not provide any charge slip to the Cardholder. It is the sole responsibility of the cardholder to collect the Cardholder's copy of charge slip form the merchant establishment after any such transactions.
  25. g) The Cardholder is hereby requested to patiently co-operate in case the Merchant Establishment needs more time to get authorization from Meghna Bank. These added security measures are taken to safe guard the interests of the valued Cardholders.
  26. h) Service Charges may be charged for cash withdrawal and other services. 
  27. i) Cardholders will be allowed to reload as funds from legal source of income.
  28. j) Cardholders will be allowed to use Meghna Prepaid Card outside of Bangladesh upon doing necessary endorsement into passport. 
  29. a) All fees and charges that may be incurred according to schedule of charges from the use of the Card will be debited from the Card Account. 
  30. b) Meghna Bank may charge the Cardholder for any special service that may be offered to the Cardholder from time to time.
  31. c) Any fee such as Joining fee or Reloaded fee that has already been cleared, may not be claimed for reimbursement. 
  32. d) Meghna Bank will not provide any statement on Card Account. However, the Cardholder may collect the same by paying applicable charges.
  33. a) The Terms and Conditions, fees and charges and all other information regarding the usage of the Meghna Prepaid Card are subject to change without any prior notice to the Cardholder at the sole discretion of Meghna Bank. 
  34. b) Al disputes are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts Bangladesh 
  35. c) In case of any event of Force Majeure such as an act of God, war, not, civil disturbance, changes in the prevailing law etc. upon which Meghna Bank has no control and, which makes it impossible for Meghna Bank to abide by this agreement, Meghna Bank reserves the right to terminate this agreement prior to its expiry without assigning any reason whatsoever and without any liability.
  36. a) It is the sole responsibility of the Cardholder to safe-keep the Card and also not to disclose the Personal Identification Number (PIN) of the Card to others. Meghna Bank shall not be held liable for any misuse of the Card.
  37. b) The Cardholder should keep secured the information, balance, expiry date, mother's name, date of birth etc. that are related to the security of the Card.
  38. No interest or profit will be credited to the Cardholder's Account with respect to the available balance on his/her Card Account

9. The Cardholder shall be solely responsible for all transactions made by the use of the Card and undertakes to Indemnify Meghna Bank against all claims, actions, proceedings, damages, costs and expenses incurred or sustained by Meghna Bank in connection with issuance or use of the Card. I have read and understood the above mentioned terms and conditions and unconditionally agree to abide by the same.
